Privacy of the Lastnod app for Android

Updated: October 22, 2026

This page is translated from French; the French version prevails. Français

This page concerns the “Lastnod” app published on Google Play. It lets you show your phone's screen to the AI agents of your Lastnod workspace, so that they can guide you step by step. It supplements our legal notice.

Who we are

Lastnod is a service published by Eric Mehdi Mollenthiel, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel), trading as Mollenthiel Studio (French business number SIREN 795 225 226), 103 avenue Lacassagne, 69003 Lyon, France. Contact: team@lastnod.com.

The Lastnod workspace you link your phone to belongs to a business, our customer (yours, or the one helping you). For the images of your screen, that business is the data controller; we act as its processor, only on its instructions (Article 28 GDPR).

1. What the app reads

  • The image of your screen, only during a sharing session you start yourself: you tap “Link”, then you accept Android's screen sharing window, which lets you show the whole screen or a single app. An image is sent only when an agent of your workspace asks for it, and never while the phone is locked or the screen is off. The notification says which agent is watching.
  • Nothing else: not your contacts, your location, your files, the microphone, the camera, or the list of your apps. The app touches nothing: it does not click, does not type and does not open any app. Whatever Android or an app protects (a code, a payment) appears black.
  • So that your workspace recognizes the phone: its model, its processor type, the Android and app versions, and whether sharing is in progress or the phone is locked.

2. What stays on the phone

The address of your workspace, the key that links the phone to that workspace, an access log (sharing dates, agents' requests and their result), a technical log of the connection and, after a crash, its report. None of them contains any image or screen text, and none is sent anywhere else. They stay in the app's private storage, outside the phone's backups, and are erased when you uninstall the app or clear its data. No image is saved on the phone.

3. Where the images go

  • A requested image leaves the phone, over an encrypted connection, for your Lastnod workspace only, hosted in France at OVHcloud, then for the agent that asked for it.
  • That agent reads it through the business's own AI subscription (currently Claude, by Anthropic), under the business's own contract with that provider. That provider may process the image outside the European Union, with the safeguards set out in its contract, and, depending on the settings of the business's account, use it to improve its models (at Anthropic, unless the business has opted out in its account's privacy settings).
  • No one else: no other customer, no advertiser. We do not sell or pass on these images, and we do not use them for advertising, for profiling, or to train or improve an AI model.

4. How long

An image handed to the agent enters its work session, in the business's workspace; it is deleted from it no later than 30 days after the session, and is not included in the workspace's backups. What the agent writes about it (a reply, a note) stays in the workspace for as long as the business keeps it. At the AI provider, the image is kept under the business's contract with that provider. When the business's contract ends, its workspace is deleted under our terms. The workspace's log of actions (who, when, which action, which result) contains no image.

5. How to stop it

Tap “Stop”: on the red button over your apps, in the notification or in the app. Sharing also stops when Android stops it, when access is cut off from the workspace, and on its own after one hour without a request from an agent. Nothing resumes without a new sharing session accepted on the phone. Uninstalling the app erases everything it keeps.

6. Permissions requested

  • Internet and network state: reach your Lastnod workspace.
  • Foreground service for screen sharing: keep sharing active and visible while it lasts, with its notification.
  • Notifications: show that sharing is in progress, with its “Stop” button.
  • Display over other apps, optional: keep the “Stop” button always within reach.

7. Your rights

The business whose workspace you use decides how its images are used: please contact it first. You may also email us at team@lastnod.com; we forward your request to that business within two business days and you will receive an answer within one month at most. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

8. Changes

This page may change with the app or the law; its last update date is shown at the top.
